While Nike has plenty of bulky kicks one could shoehorn into the dad shoe category, the brand’s M2K Tekno is the brand’s first crack at directly addressing the trend with a new silhouette.
Inspired by the brand’s uber-popular Monarch shoe (a legit dad shoe and a favorite of barbecuing males from coast to coast), the Tekno sneaker was ushered in on John Elliott’s fall 2018 runway.
For the debut launch the shoe will be launched in three colors: the Tekno Future in white or black and the Tekno Monarch in pink. In addition to the shoe’s built up and multi-layered upper and outsole (which includes two Swooshes), the Tekno receives a pop of energy with a contrasting color clip on the shoe’s heel.
Make note, the white version of the M2K Tekno already launched at some overseas accounts and sold out very quickly.
