Today we’re launching a new series here on GMG and it’s one that our team is really excited about, Gal On A Budget. Our team is constantly searching and we’re always coming across beautiful products that catch our eye, but we get especially enthused when we find a great deal. It’s more often than not that we find a less expensive alternative to some of our favorite items, and we wanted a reoccurring place where we could continually share those discoveries with you. With this series, we will cover topics from fashion to home and try our best to seek out brands that are newer to us, like in today’s post. We’re starting GOAB with small list of products we’ve received the most questions about, so it seemed like the perfect place to begin…
Our breakfast nook is easily my favorite corner in our house. It was actually a last minute addition to the plans before we started construction and I’m so happy we didn’t miss out on it. It seems to be the spot that draws everyone in and we always find ourselves back in the nook, sipping coffee, working on our computers, chatting with friends, or having dinner. It’s safe to say we use this spot a lot. I’ve shared some peeks of it on both the blog and IG, and received so many questions about the little details in the space. We also just so happened to find the perfect budget friendly alternatives to many of my favorite kitchenwares, which is why we wanted this to be our first Gal On A Budget Post. Below we’re sharing the original item along with a similar less expensive item and also showcasing some other favorite budget finds as well.

I love the blue and white pillows in our new breakfast nook. I feel comfortable enough to begin my workday and enjoy my coffee or linger there on weekends. This striped cover ($3.99) is a easy basic and I also love this cream and blue pattern ($5.99)
Mini Glass Vases
Mini vases are a perfect way to make a table feel thoughtful with very little fuss. All you need are a few flower clippings. These glass mini vases ($3.99) come in tons of colors and shapes. I love nestling them together in different arrangements.
I can never have too many kitchen towels. I use them around the kitchen or as trivets when I serve breakfast for guests. Its a nice way to add a pop of color to the table. I love to mix and match patterns and these muted blues and stripes towels (set of three • $14.99) are beautiful.
