Swedish fast fashion retailer H&M has announced Jeremy Scott-led Moschino as this year’s collaborative designer partner. The news was revealed at Scott’s annual Coachella party, always a celeb-packed event that included attendance this year by Cardi B, models Gigi Hadid and Slick Woods, and DJs Mia Moretti and Atrak among others.
On Instagram, Hadid provided an early look at what’s to come, rocking a silky robe covered with a CD graphic.
“This collaboration makes me feel like I’m able to give something again,” Scott said in an interview with Vogue. “Lots of young people love my clothes . . . and we make phone cases and little things like that, but in order to have a lewk, I love that this is now something that will be affordable.”
H&M has been under fire as of late with members of the street art community, many of whom spoke out against the retailer when it counter-sued Los Angeles-based graffiti artist REVOK after he sent the company a cease and desist notice for using his artwork as background in an ad campaign without permission. In a public statement H&M later apologized and dropped its legal case.
The H&M and Moschino collection will be available online and in-store from November 8th.
