Chloe Kim has become the youngest woman to win an Olympic snowboarding medal. The 17-year-old Korean-American powerhouse took home the gold (for USA) on women’s halfpipe with a nearly perfect score of 98.25. She even had a 4-point lead against her competitors.
Kim kicked off her award-winning runs with some casual tweeting before hitting the halfpipe. No big deal, right? She went on to nail (read: effortlessly land) back-to-back 1080s with a McTwist leaving her family, friends, and the crowd completely awestruck. The snowboarder took to the podium alongside her rivals including silver medalist Liu Jiayu of China and bronze medalist Arielle Gold of the USA.
